Who am I?
Hi! I am Sofía Martínez, a passionate Senior Product Designer based in Bogotá. My main driving force is my family—my husband, my mother, and my sister—with whom I share a deep love for continuous learning. We share a highly academic environment where each person brings a unique perspective, teaching me to value diverse ways of thinking and constantly enriching my worldview.
Beyond the digital realm, art and empathy guide my work. I love engaging with the community and using art as a powerful tool for communication and teaching. This conviction has led me to lead community outreach projects and actively participate in volunteer programs supporting women who have survived gender-based violence. It is an essential part of my life that has profoundly strengthened my human-centered approach and my sensitivity to complex contexts.
That same curiosity to connect with others fuels my passion for travel. I love exploring new cultures, attending live music festivals, and discovering everything from historic art galleries to natural landscapes. On these adventures, my cameras and my family are my inseparable companions. The cultural diversity I experience on every trip directly influences my creative approach, reminding me daily that effective design requires genuine empathy and cross-cultural understanding.
