Who am I?
Hi! I'm Sofia Martinez, a passionate UX designer, living in Bogota with my mother and sister. Our bond is unbreakable, and we share a passion for learning and growing. In our home, the environment is highly academic, and each of us brings a unique perspective from our areas, which allows us to constantly enrich our visions.
I love working with the community and using art as a powerful communication and teaching tool. I have participated in volunteer processes with women who have suffered gender violence and led community outreach projects.
I graduated as a Graphic Designer and Plastic Artist from Universidad Nacional thanks to a dual degree scholarship and I did my internship as a UI designer at Colsubcidio, which gave me valuable experience in the world of design.
My professional background is diverse. I worked in the public sector as a UX Researcher, collaborating with the School of Design and Medicine to combat fake news. Also, in Retail, I developed strategies that improved the structure of information in promotional pieces, improving the user experience. Currently, I am immersed in the exciting digital transformation, collaborating with the fintech industry, the manufacturing sector and the insurtech industry to digitize management processes.
My passion for user-centered design and my commitment to the community drive me to explore new opportunities to create meaningful and effective experiences. I also love to travel, to get to know other cultures and to learn from them. My inseparable companions in these adventures are my mother and my sister, with my cameras and curiosity, we broaden my perspective and are filled with inspiration on each trip. The cultural diversity I experience on my travels influences my creative approach and reminds me of the importance of empathy and intercultural understanding in my work. In short, my love for design, my commitment to the community, my passion for traveling and my deep family bond are the pillars that drive my constant search for inspiration and growth. The world is my inexhaustible source of creativity and learning!
